Alke ATX

A new generation of electric vehicles exists that is able to put in the field performances that are on a par with and in certain contests superior to the conventional diesel or petrol vehicles of the same category. It is the case of the ATX series, professional electrical vehicles designed to be used in the hardest and most demanding conditions, with loading capacity up to 1.000 kg and towing capacity up to 3.000 kg.

 

The ATX models are EU type-approved for road circulation (L7e category). They are professional vehicles designed for people that are not happy with what can already be found on the market and where quality, reliability and functional design are the fruit of years of experience and tests in the field. Design, prototyping and production of all Alkè vehicles are made entirely in Italy.

Alkè electrical vehicles combine silence and zero pollution to a real working capacity. It is not by chance that a growing number of sectors are starting conversion procedures of almost their entire fleet of vehicles to high performance electric vehicles such as the ATX:

Holiday villages, camping sites, golf courses, parks, tourism cultural sites, farm-holiday centres,riding schools residences and hotels, beaches, amusement parks, seasideresorts, sports centres, stadiums, ski resorts.

 

Services and Industrial Sector: 

Fair facilities,congress centres, commercial centres, catering services, industrial establishments, shipyards, harbour and airport facilities.

ATX vehicles are available also with special explosion proof versions for use in areas with risk of explosion such as oil plants, offshore extraction platforms, tunnels, chemical plants, mines, etc.

All ATX chassis are treated with Cataphoresis anticorrosion process and built using tubular steel sections dimensioned to support heavy duty operations. The front bodywork of the vehicle, the control panel and coverings and the back of the cab are built in reinforced fibreglass and finished with car paint (fibreglass is flexible, resistant to blows and can be easily repaired in the case of accidents).

 

ATX vehicles have AC motors with very high torque and smooth distribution which prevents skidding and loss of grip also on high risk land-types (sand, snow or ice) and guarantee start-up in ascent without hesitation. Thanks to their special motors and CURTIS controllers, the ATXs raise the power, if necessary, by 8 kW nominal to a peak of 14 kW to allow operations even in the presence of uneven land and 35% slopes.

The autonomy on standard routes for some models can reach up to 130 km and covers without problems an entire working day even where frequent stops are required for load and unload operations. Electric ATXs have a regenerative braking system which in the stopping

phase prevents all waste of power and wear of the brakes.

The ATXs may have maintenance-free pure lead batteries to raise the performances of the vehicle even at low temperatures (- 20° C). The complete re-charge of the battery set, normally carried out during the night, takes place using the high frequency battery-charger present on the machine, this means it can be connected anywhere there is a common mains socket without being restrained to fixed bases. The special battery chargers used by the ATX guarantee a greater number of charges with respect to the technologies commonly used (greater number of charges = longer life of the battery = saving of management costs). It is not necessary to wait for the battery to be totally flat before recharging it, the so-called “memory effect” present in other lower sectors is not found here.

The investment for an ATX is re-paid in average terms by the maintenance costs, which are must lower if compared with equivalent diesel and petrol vehicles: maintenance is almost inexistent and there are noteworthy savings in fuel consumption. For an entire day’s work the cost for the complete charging of the battery sets is less than 2 Euros. It is important to know that the technical life, in working hours, of an electrical vehicle of this type is generally double, if not triple, with respect to a conventional fuel vehicle.

The results of a recent comparative study between electric ATXs and equivalent diesel models in the same vehicle category are impressive. This study is based on a temporal period of 5 years (15,000 km per year). By comparing the main costs the benefits are undoubtedly in favour of the electric versions that can provide up to:

If the activities in which the vehicles are involved necessitate frequent stops these values are greater because in these conditions the traditional combustion vehicles are affected by a rapid wear of the ignition-clutch-transmission group with additional costs of maintenance on the long term.

 

ATX110E

The ATX110E is the most compact ATX model with a total length of about 3 m. It comes with the same mechanical and electronic control of ATX210E and thanks to its small size is the most suitable for use in environments where tight turning radiuses are needed such as warehouses, hospitals, greenhouses and historic towns

 

The ATX210E is the most sold ATX model for its high flexibility provided by a large volume of load (flatbed 50 cm longer than the ATX110E) and a contained weight (300 kg less than ATX240E). Find its best place to work in municipalities, universities, tourist and

sport facilities, hospitals, logistics and forward comanies, environmental services and waste collection, railway stations and airports. With proper tires ATX110E, 210E and 230E are the most suitable for off-road use. As an alternative to traditional lead-acid batteries this model can also be fitted with pure-lead batteries for high performance at low temperatures.

The quick-change battery system (similar to the one fitted as original equipment on ATX240E) can be installed as an option to allow operations on multiple shifts.

 

ATX210E

The ATX240E represents the top of ATX vehicles and addresses for special purposes. It has the same load and towing capacity of ATX230E but it is equipped with quick change battery system more performing with greater autonomy (up to 130 km) and estimated life1.500 cycles. This model is designed for intensive use in industrial and civil areas such as airports, railway stations, logistics centers and manufacturing plants.

 

ATX230E

The ATX230E has same dimentions and batteries of ATX210E but it is designed to provide a greater load capacity (1.000 kg instead of 600 kg) and a higher towing capacity (3.000 kg instead of 2.000 kg) thanks to the presence of the reinforced rear axle installed on the ATX240E. It is certainly something new in its field because it is able to put together lightness and flexibility with power and performance, for this feature it is ideal for working in the same areas of ATX210E if major powers are necessary.

The ATX240E represents the top of ATX vehicles and addresses for special purposes. It has the same load and towing capacity of ATX230E but it is equipped with quick change battery system more performing with greater autonomy (up to 130 km) and estimated life1.500 cycles. This model is designed for intensive use in industrial and civil areas such as airports, railway stations, logistics centers and manufacturing plants.
